My Original English Sonnet
H-O-M-E-W-O-R-K
Makes my poor head want to explode.
Seven periods of homework a day
makes me go into the killing mode.
No food, no fun, no sleep or anything
Sleep? Yeah sleep is for the weak.
The daily load makes my ears ring,
Sleep, I haven't slept in a week.
Yet I, young child, does not care,
Book after book, hours on the road.
Yet floors covered with torn out hair
Won't stop me from clicking "next episode"
Now young child, I have to go,
For teacher won't see my finished home to show.
Dadafied Sonnet
H-O-M-E-W-O-R-K
Makes my happy ice cream want to melt.
Seven periods of homework a day
This is the best I've ever felt!
No food, no fun, no sleep or anything
Sleep? Yeah sleep is for everybody.
The daily load makes my ears ring,
Sleep, I've slept for a whole week.
Yet I, young child, does not care,
Tubs of ice cream, all rocky road.
Yet floors covered with torn out hair
Still, I'm in my HAPPY mode!
Now young child, I have to go,
So what? The teacher already loves me so.
The Rules
Every other line is transformed into an ultra optimistic line about ice cream or whatever happy topic.
Dada
1.Dada began in the late 1910's in Europe.
2. Dada was a response to World War I and the perceived disintegration of society.
3. A Dada artist was one who was not afraid. Marcel Duchamp had put a bicycle wheel on a kitchen stool for no apparent reason and called it art. He had to be very brave to do so at that time.
4. Automatism was the process of yielding oneself to instinctive actions after establishing a set of conditions, within which a work would be carried out. Jean Arp's random pencil movements in an example of this.
5. Photomontage is a collage or a composition of picture fitted or juxtaposed together, usually photographs.
6.
objective-being part of or pertaining to an object to be drawn:
subjective-existing in the mind; belonging to the thinking subject rather than to the object of thought
nonobjective-Fine Arts. not representing objects known in physical nature;nonrepresentational:
7.
Dada relates to context as it is just a bunch of out of context images or words placed together to make a new idea.
